Shona Opalstone "Tonga Woman" Sculpture

This unique sculpture is hand carved from a single piece of opalstone by master Shona artist, Marshall Motsi.

This abstract sculpture, entitled "Tonga Woman" was created in honor of the Tonga woman. Women are the foundation of African society and are often represented in Shona sculpture.

The opalstone is vividly colored in shades of blue-green and orange-brown. The back of the sculpture has been left in its natural state.

This piece is from Zimbabwe and signed by the artist,Marshall Motsi.
